Patrice Showers Corneli

Raised on 5 acres in Illihois on the Wisconsin state line, I grew up in the best family in the world  - seven siblings, a cow, lots of goats, an artistic and literary mother and a kind, brilliant and suave Dad. My interests in art and biology stem from my childhood activities. In college I double majored in art and biology..

I have been a Westerner since 1976 when I began my first Masters degree at the University of Montana. Subsequently,at the University of Utah, I added a second Masters in Mathematical Statistics and a Ph.D. in evolutionary biology.

So I am an evolutionary biologist, biostatistican and artist. Equally rewarding had been my career as a mother of two beautiful, intelligent daughters now married with

I share a love of the outdoors with my husband and am lucky to live in Utah where we kayak, canoe, ski, and camp - more now as we wind down our professional lives.

Now I use the same skills of observation, synthesis and the same altered state of creative thinking for my biology and my art..
